Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started

The basics

What exactly is the Qudo seller model?

It's consignment. You send us your products, you set the selling price, and we do the rest — storage, listing, marketing, order processing, packing, shipping and customer support. You stay the owner of the goods until they are sold.

Is there a minimum quantity I have to send?

No. You can start with as little as 10 units of a single product.

Is there a minimum number of products or SKUs?

No. There is no minimum catalogue size — you decide what and how much you list.

Are there minimum sales targets I need to hit?

No. There are no sales quotas and no penalties for slow-moving products.

Is there a contract duration or a notice period?

No fixed term and no notice period. You are free to stop at any time and take your remaining stock back.

What does it cost to sell with Qudo?

There are no listing fees, no storage fees, no handling fees and no monthly subscription. Your only cost is shipping your goods to our warehouse — and shipping them back if you decide to withdraw them.

How does Qudo earn? What are your fees?

We add our margin on top of the price you set — it is never deducted from your price. You always receive the full amount you asked for.

The margin is applied automatically and adjusts dynamically based on several criteria, typically ranging between 15% and 25%. It covers everything we handle for you: marketing and promotion, courier shipping costs, storage and warehousing, order processing, product listings & content, customer support and packing.

Shipments & reception

What happens when my shipment arrives?

Our warehouse team performs a reception: they check the products, confirm the quantities and enter everything into our system. As soon as reception is complete, the items appear in your seller dashboard.

When do I set my prices?

Right after reception. Once the products are visible in your dashboard, you enter the selling price for each item yourself.

Is there a minimum shelf-life requirement?

Yes — products should have at least 1,5 years of remaining shelf life when they arrive at our warehouse. Anything shorter is sent at your own risk: it may sit in the warehouse too long, and a customer receiving a product with only a few months left can open a claim and return it.

Payments

Getting paid

How often do I get paid?

Every Monday, for all orders shipped during the previous week.

Is there a minimum payout amount?

No. If you sold 20 EUR worth of products last week, you receive 20 EUR.

Are there payment reserves or holdbacks?

No. There is no rolling reserve and no delay beyond the weekly cycle.

What deductions can appear on my payout?

Only two situations lead to a deduction:

  • a customer cancels an order before it ships;
  • a customer does not collect the parcel and it comes back to us — in which case we simply put the product back on sale for you.
How do I know what I'm about to be paid?

Your dashboard shows the real-time amount due to you for the current week, before Monday's payment is generated.

Invoicing & paperwork

Invoices, statements, accounting

Who issues the invoices to the end customers?

We do. Qudo is the seller of record towards the customer — you never issue an invoice to a final customer.

Do I need to invoice Qudo for the products sold?

No, and you don't have to write it yourself. Every Monday our system automatically generates the invoice from your company to Qudo, listing the product names, quantities and total value being paid. You are the seller on that invoice and Qudo is the buyer.

Will I receive a detailed statement for my accounting?

Yes. Your dashboard shows every order in detail — sales, revenue per product, cancellation rate, returns and the exact amount payable on the next Monday. Reports can be downloaded for your accounting.

Compliance

VAT, CPNP & regulations

Who handles VAT, invoicing and customer-facing legal obligations?

Qudo handles VAT on the sale to the end customer, the customer invoicing and the recycling/packaging obligations linked to the shipment we send out.

Who is responsible for product compliance, labelling and CPNP?

Product compliance — CPNP notification, EU Responsible Person, packaging and labelling requirements — sits with you as the owner of the goods.

Can I list products that don't have an active CPNP notification yet?

In most cases these are already in the process of being registered. Send us the list of products you're unsure about and our compliance department will check them and come back to you with a clear answer before you ship anything.

Storage & returns

Warehouse, returns & withdrawals

How long can my products stay in your warehouse?

Up to 12 months, completely free of charge.

What happens if a product doesn't sell within that period?

After 11 months you either take the remaining stock back, or you apply a discount and sell it at a lower price. We'll notify you before that point.

How do I withdraw products that haven't sold?

Request the withdrawal from your dashboard and we'll prepare the goods for collection. Return shipping is the only cost on your side.

How do you handle customer returns?

Returned products are inspected and, when they are still in sellable condition, put straight back on sale for you. The corresponding sale is reversed on your next statement.

What about products damaged or lost in your warehouse?

Anything damaged or lost while under our care is our responsibility, not yours.

Seller dashboard

Tracking everything in real time

Is there a platform where I can follow everything in real time?

Yes — a seller dashboard built for Qudo B2B, similar to what you'd expect from Amazon. It shows sales, customer orders, available stock, reserved stock, warehouse receptions, returns, cancellation rate, payments and product performance, all in real time.

Will I be notified when my stock runs low?

Yes. You receive low-stock notifications so you can plan your next shipment before you sell out.

Can I export data for my accountant?

Yes. Sales, stock, payment and VAT reports can all be downloaded from the dashboard.

Ready to put your stock to work?

Apply in 2 minutes. We'll review your application and get back to you within 1 business day.
